This is "Chomp" my very special rescue doggy, who I love so much. Because of him I made my donation to help reduce the amount of unwanted pets by sterilisation programs like this one.
Together we can make a difference.

We adopted Benson from an Animal Rescue Organisation shortly after we had lost two of our dogs within a short period of three weeks. One was my beloved male German Shepherd who had a heart attack unexpectedly and the second was our old female dog whom we had to put to sleep as she had suffered a debilitating stroke. Our hearts were broken and our remaining female German Shepherd was pining terribly as she was missing her companions. So Benson came into our lives and our homes. He helped mend our hearts and filled our lives with joy, love and companionship. He is an Africanis, which is an African Hunting Dog, he doesn’t have to do any hunting now as his food is presented to him, morning and evening. He was found wandering on a beach, starving and dehydrated, suffering from mange, covered in sores and scabs and looking very pathetic indeed. Now he looks like a prince and his nickname is “Butter Ball”. He is intelligent, loyal, a great watch dog and extremely affectionate. We couldn’t have found a better dog if we had looked for a year! This is Jesse my Jack Russell who lived to the age of 16. Typical of the race the heart was huge and no matter how big the other dog she was always going to have a go at them. Sometimes to her own detriment. She was the light in my life and gave me so much pleasure. A walk on the beach is not quite the same. She had a big toothy smile and loved giving kisses.

Jemma, you were my first rescue, but definately not my last. You opened the door to a whole new world for me – one where I am needed. You gave the warmest kisses of all and thanks to you, I will never be without another rescued dog, or 2, or 3 or .... and they will all hear about you! I could never ever forget you – you are part of me. You made me who I am today. Till we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge, have fun, play with my other kids, and be young and healthy again. Luv you always. Tinky |
